Rhombus Asset Management Pty Ltd is the specialised asset consulting arm within Rhombus Advisory. We focus on managing a range of multi-asset portfolios implemented through efficient structures such as Managed Accounts.

Andrew Simpson, Director – Rhombus Asset Management

Andrew leads the Rhombus Asset Management team responsible for delivering portfolio construction solutions for advisers and clients across the Rhombus Advisory network, including model portfolio, investment strategy and asset allocation advisory services.

Andrew has worked in Financial Markets for over 15 years, spending most of this time helping financial advisers construct and manage portfolios for their clients. He has worked across the spectrum of asset classes, providing advice and guidance on Australian and global equities, government and corporate fixed income as well as foreign exchange and derivatives.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder with CFA Institute.

Simon Edwick, Portfolio Manager, Rhombus Asset Management

Simon plays a key role in manager selection and investment research within the Rhombus Asset Management Managed Accounts.

Simon has 14 years’ experience working within Research teams and over 18 years experience in the Wealth management industry. Simon previously worked in the Insignia Financial Research team for five years, ANZ Advice Research team for one year, and BTFG Advice Research team for over seven years.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Banking and Finance, Bachelor of Business (Honours) with Distinction and a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).

Thomas Wang, Senior Investment Analyst, Rhombus Asset Management

Thomas plays a key role in manager selection and investment research within the Rhombus Asset Management Managed Accounts.

Thomas previously worked for the Insignia Financial Research, where he was responsible for leading research on funds, SMAs, and ETFs across all asset classes, while also assisting with research on various other products. With over 12 years of experience in Research teams, Thomas’ prior roles include positions in the BT Investment Governance Team and the BT Advice Research Team, where he focused on managed funds and related investment products.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Economics, from the University of New South Wales. Additionally, Thomas has completed an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
